It is located in a glacier mountain range in Yulong, Lijiang, Yunnan in the People's Republic of China in Asia. The course meanders through an indigenous countryside in a valley beneath Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a 5596 meters high subdivision chain of mountains along the Himalayan mountain range.
