Burgundy Sports Club

The Burgundy Sports Club & Golf Village is nested on the open scrublands over an undulating valley plain at the foot hill slopes of the Tygerberg Hills. This small, mashie golf Course is like no other. It boasts majestic views across the Cape harbour, South Atlantic Ocean, Robben Island and Table Mountain.

Burgundy Sports Club is located within the Burgundy Estate, approximately 25 kms north of Cape Town’s city centre within the Plattekloof neighbourhood in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Burgundy Sports Club is a course where nature closely interacts with modern day sport. It is surrounded by Swartland Shale Renosterveld, a rare & beautiful but critically in danger of extinction vegetation spices that is unique to the Western Cape region. It also rests amongst communal open green lands, nature parks and quiet vineyards of the De Grendel and Durbanville Hills.

The Burgundy Country Estate is a 4 star graded village that was launched in 2006. Burgundy Sports Club ideally works as a short and friendly testing facility for the everyday golfer. Over the years, Burgundy golf course has also progressively perfected a unique set of short stroke testing features that make it a favourite practice facility amongst locals. Burgundy GC offers a par three golf course in nine holes with sloping greens of varying short lengths. The little rounded greens are guarded by slightly skewed bunkers which demand low-speed hits and the repeated use of the putter club.
